THERAPEUTIC BODY PAINTING
Therapeutic Body Painting is an immersive, embodied experience that blends movement, creativity, free expression, and therapeutic support in a safe, professionally held environment. Sessions are flexible in length and can be enjoyed solo or as a duet, with carefully curated music/sound to support the mood and inspired flow.
Wearing protective body suits and using skin-safe paints, participants are invited to explore sensation, play, colour and self-expression without the need for words or artistic skill.
Each session is improvised and gently supervised by trained facilitators, offering attuned support whether the experience is approached purely for fun, curiosity, and creative exploration, or as a deeper form of therapeutic release. For those who wish, the process can also be sensitively documented, creating memorable photographic footage to reflect on and keep.
Rooted in care, creativity, and ethical practice, these sessions offer a joyful and meaningful pathway to embodied wellbeing.

Clare (Edinburgh)
“Taking part in the therapeutic body painting session was such a freeing experience. I felt safe to express parts of myself I usually hide, and by the end my shoulders felt lighter—like a physical release of tension I’d been carrying for months. I left feeling more connected to my body and more at ease in my own skin.
I will come again very soon!”
Ellie (Aberdeen)
I went into the body painting session not really knowing what to expect, but it ended up being the most relaxing and chill experience ever. There was no stress about making it look 'good' or being a 'real artist' I just got to mess around with colours and move to the music I chose. It felt so good to just shut my brain off for a bit and play. I walked out feeling so much lighter and less stressed than when I walked in. Such a lovely, high-vibe experience.
Danny (Moray)
“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but painting together in such a supportive space helped me slow down and really feel in my body instead of just thinking all the time. It was surprisingly calming, almost meditative. I noticed my anxiety dropped and I slept better that night—something I hadn’t felt in a long while.”
Patricia (Aberdeen)
“Therapeutic body painting gave me a chance to turn emotions into colour and form. As someone who struggles to talk about my feelings, this felt healing in a way words never do. I came away with a sense of joy and self-awareness, and even days later I find myself smiling when I remember the session.”
